Natural Disasters

The natural disasters: Our new topic that we’re learning about is natural disasters. Examples of natural disasters are. Flooding Volcanos Tornados Earthquakes Some facts : If it rains for days and days it floods and the sea full’s up and it can burst the banks but if it burst the banks it will come out quickly and flood the world and it gets past 8 feet over the houses. Disasters normally happen in hotter countries because they have more sun than us and some countries have loads of mountains and the sun can melt it and it can flood and burst the banks for worst water to come. When it rains normally and the next day it’s dry because the plants and flowers and grass all suck’s it up because they like water but the grass will still be wet because there’s so much. When volcanoes happen it makes a big ash cloud and it ruins the whole world and it catches more fire when it drops down.

Natural Disasters

In primary 6 we have been learning about Natural Disasters. You can have many types of disasters, such as: Floods, Hurricanes , Earthquakes, Droughts, Rain storms and Snowstorms. Natural Disasters could cause serious injuries towards people. In some countries there can be more damage caused than other countries because people in some countries know what to expect. They also know what to do because it happens to them more often and they know to get to a high ground. In our first lesson we were learning about Earthquakes. We have made a what I want to know, what I know and what have we learned sheet for the end of the lesson . When you are taking information from a website you should check when it was last updated and see if there is any bias, if it is accurate, check the domain to see if it is reliable and if the author is qualified. I am really looking forward to be looking at volcanos. I know how the volcanos erupt and I would like to know how the plates overlap.

Race for Life

This year we all did Race For Life on May 4th and we all enjoyed running and we all got ice cream at the end of the run. We got a medal for running around the school i did it 2 times but some of my friends did it like 4 times Race for life is a thing that help the researchers for cancer and the more money they get can help with anyone with cancer and then we could beat cancer soon than later and i think we could beat it in 2 years. They will get the cure to fix everyone with cancer and children in other countries.

Annie Rehearsals

This year we are doing a school show on Annie. It is very fun to make and i’m glad that i am in it. Annie is a movie about an orphan that gets to stay with a millionaire (Mr Warbucks) for a week, but he wants to adopt her but Annie wants to find her parents, so Mr Warbucks and his secretary (Grace) to find her parents, but at the end of the movie you find out Annie’s parents have died and Mr Warbucks adopts her. I enjoyed it especially when Miss Hannigan sings little girls and when Miss Hannigan falls in the bath. I also enjoyed the singing especially Hard Knock Life. It is just an amazing movie and i think anyone with a sense of humor would like it and also people who like musicals. In the school show i am one of the orphans called Kate and my friends Breagha and Sarah are Annie, Olivia is Miss Hannigan, Christopher and Gary are Mr Warbucks, Hannah is Grace and loads loads more people. It is in the 26th and 27 of June, and i have to do both of them! But i think both of them will be fun. My favourite part of rehearsing is the dancing and i hope other people like the show too. Thanks for listening/reading \_(^_^)_/ <3 By Kaiya Paterson Also, here are some pictures of some of us rehearsing
Hope you enjoy
